Job Description

AECOM Winnipeg is hiring a Structural Engineering Manager.

 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Leads oversees and coordinates structural engineering production activities with a focus on bridge design and construction but also covering a range of structural infrastructure projects.
  • Leads and manages a team of professional engineers engineering technologists and drafting staff.
  • Provides technical guidance and mentorship to engineering teams ensuring high-quality project delivery.
  • Makes authoritative decisions and recommendations on complex engineering challenges.
  • Engages with senior-level management and stakeholders demonstrating strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills.
  • Manages multi-disciplinary teams to achieve project goals while maintaining technical excellence.
  • Demonstrates strategic thinking and problem-solving in project planning execution and operational objectives.
  • Ensures compliance with industry standards regulatory requirements and company best practices.
  • Leads proposals and pursuits of new work including marketing to new and existing clients.
  • Supervision is primarily administrative with assignments defined by broad objectives and project requirements.

 


    Qualifications :

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering
    • 10 years of relevant structural engineering experience including bridge design and construction
    • 2 years of leadership experience
    • Professional Engineer (.) designation

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • 15 years of experience in structural engineering
    • Experience managing large-scale infrastructure projects
    • Strong knowledge of structural analysis software and design codes
    • Proven ability to lead teams and mentor junior engineers
