Know Your Rights: Notice for California Applicants: Structured Cabling Technician is responsible for installing maintaining and troubleshooting lowvoltage cabling and networking hardware to support voice data and video communications across a range of environments. This role includes tasks such as cable installation termination labeling and testing for fiber optic and copper cabling. The Structured Cabling Technician works closely with other IT and infrastructure teams to ensure the networks physical layer is secure organized and optimized for high performance and scalability. This position requires the ability to independently identify and fulfill responsibilities with minimal oversight. The position is expected to effectively prioritize tasks manage time efficiently and ensure deadlines are consistently met.
Required qualifications:
1. 13 years of experience in structured cabling; experience with copper and fiber optic cable installation is preferred.
2. Familiarity with network infrastructure components such as switches routers and patch panels.
3. Experience with cabling in commercial environments data centers or industrial facilities.
4. Proficiency in using tools such as crimpers punchdown tools cable testers and tone generators.
5. Knowledge of cabling standards such as TIA/EIA568 TIA/EIA606 and others related to structured cabling systems.
6. Ability to lift and move equipment (up to 50 lbs.) work in tight spaces and occasionally climb ladders.
7. Strong troubleshooting skills with a logical approach to diagnosing and resolving issues.
8. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work as part of a team and effectively communicate with nontechnical stakeholders.
9. Open to travelling up to 50% of the time.
Preferred qualifications:
1. Industry certifications such as BICSI Installer CompTIA Network or related credentials are a plus.

Benefits may vary based on employment status i.e. fulltime parttime per diem or temporary. A reasonable compensation estimate for this role which includes estimated wages benefits and other forms of compensation is $43680.00 to $74880.00 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire in which a wide range of factors will be considered including but not limited to skillset years of applicable experience education credentials and licensure.
