What Youll Do

As a Production Controls Senior Associate Specialist you will be responsible for technical research and interpreting drawings and guidance documents in identifying specific data requirements that are captured in the manufacturing process and ensure status of components are accurately reported in the Sandia ROA Database. This position requires the ability to analyze and report status of components and units in accordance with Design Agency and NNSA programmatic requirements. Adequately communicates with Program Integration Engineering NNSA DoD Design Agencies and Production Agencies Senior Management as well as Operations so that critical information is captured and available for reporting. This position may also provide backup coverage for other functions in Weapon Data Administration.

Additional responsibilities include:

  • Performance metric(s) for reporting requirements
  • Will work closely with Program Integration Engineering NNSA DoD Design Agencies and Production Agencies Senior Management as well as Operations
  • Basic to Professional level of understanding to coordinate track and disseminate applicable information
  • Will be point of contact for production surveillance reporting and Record of Assembly and Record of Disassembly reporting
  • Develops daily analysis to transfer weapon configuration information and programmatic status
  • Basic to Professional level of knowledge to understand requirements for assigned work:
  • Engineering and Laboratory Requirements
  • Federal Requirements and Defense Program Business Process System (DPBPS)
  • Defense Integration and Management of Nuclear Data Services
  • Logistics and Accountability Planning and Scheduling (LAPS)
  • Objective is to ensure Engineering Federal and Laboratory requirements are captured and reported adequately and appropriately
  • May take the lead to resolve issues that may arise to ensure minimum downtime
  • Perform Management Self Assessments and Organizational Surveillance as needed.

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Typical experience ranging from 4 to 7 years.
  • Masters degree with a minimum 1 year of relevant experience. Typical experience ranging from 4 to 7 years.
  • Staff with high school diplomas may be considered on an exceptional basis with 10 ormore years of relevant experience.

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.

Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required candidate must complete a counterintelligencescope polygraph pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
