You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailElement has an opportunity for an Engineering Intern to join our rapidly expanding team. As a member of the operations team the Engineering Intern position will learn to perform a variety of routine and nonroutine testing assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under some direct supervision. The engineering intern position must be proficient in a number of core business and technical skills including but not limited to compliance to established safety rules code of conduct and company policies and procedures.
Salary: $18.50 $20/hr DOE
Be expected to obtain guidance in nonroutine situation testing
Have the ability to assist in standard and/or routine technical problemsolving activities
Interact with customers on technical issues and questions
Learn to provide Input and support on business development opportunities with new or existing customers
Be confident in making both formal and informal presentations on conventional and/or routine testing
Learn to carry out crucial examination and implementation of testing concepts and data
Utilize an assortment of skill methods procedures and materials in testing analysis
Be adept at drawing on internal knowledge as well as industry and/or academic resources in reaching testing conclusions
Working knowledge of laboratory safety
Possess some level of understanding related to scope core theories concepts terminologies and boundaries of chosen engineering discipline
On track to possess a Bachelors of Science degree in a science or testing related field
Possesses a demonstrated ability to apply academic knowledge within the context of Elements business
Can analyze and compiles testing data from the tests performed
Possess strong computer skills
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry a plus
Takes Initiative and in most cases does not need to wait for further instruction
Adapt at managing job priority and work time in accordance with targets/goals set by supervisor
Under the close guidance of Engineers in the laboratory works on well delineated technical issues including standard and routine analysis
Defined work experience has impact on the daytoday technical decisions made on timely delivery of laboratory testing services and customer support
