Job Summary/Description:
WTOC is looking for the next face of its digital platforms. This role is designed to be audiencefacing interactive and creative. Solely responsible for producing daily digital newscasts this role requires independent workers who also know how to collaborate. The Digital Anchor at WTOC knows our CTV technology backwards and forwards. They are an advocate at the station for our streaming platforms.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
Going live multiple times a day on WTOC platforms.
Operating the CTV desk.
Collaborating with newsroom staff to create recurring segments for WTOC.
Go live on WTOC when breaking news happens in our market.
Coordinate livestreams of community events.
Post content to our social media platforms and elsewhere.
Drive CTV adoption and engagement by collaborating with news and marketing teams to create and promote exclusive CTV content on platforms like Roku Amazon Fire TV and Apple TV.
Turn content for newscasts as needed.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Previous experience onair is preferred.
12 years experience working in a newsroom.
Ability to adlib confidently during unscripted breaking news.
Strong time management skills.
