Overview

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Radiology Consultant specialized in Gastrointestinal (GI) and Genitourinary (GU) radiology to join a University NHS Trust in the South West. As a Radiology Consultant you will play a crucial role in providing accurate and timely diagnostic imaging services while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Interpret and report on diagnostic imaging studies with a focus on GI and GU radiology to aid in the diagnosis and treatment planning for patients.
  • Work closely with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and integrated patient care.
  • Provide consultations and recommendations for imaging techniques protocols and procedures to optimize patient outcomes.
  • Participate in continuous quality improvement initiatives and research activities to advance the practice of radiology and improve patient care.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree from an accredited institution and completion of a residency programme in radiology.
  • Board certification in radiology and subspecialty training or experience in GI and GU radiology.
  • Valid medical licence and eligibility for credentialing at our institution.
  • Strong communication collaboration and leadership skills.

Daytoday

  • Collaborate with referring physicians to understand patient history and clinical indications for imaging studies.
  • Perform diagnostic imaging interpretations and consult with colleagues to ensure comprehensive and accurate reports.
  • Communicate imaging findings to the healthcare team and participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss patient management and treatment planning.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and education to stay current with advancements in radiology and subspecialty areas.
