Overview
We are seeking a confident and skilled Radiology Consultant specialising in General Radiology to join the dynamic medical team at an NHS Trust in the Midlands. As a Radiology Consultant you will be responsible for providing expertise in diagnostic radiology while ensuring the highest standard of patient care.
Responsibilities
- Conduct and interpret diagnostic imaging procedures including Xrays CT scans MRIs and ultrasounds
- Provide expert consultation to other healthcare professionals on patient imaging and diagnosis
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure accurate and efficient patient care
- Stay current with advancements in radiological technology and participate in continuous education and professional development
- Oversee and mentor junior radiologists and trainees
Qualifications
- Medical degree and valid state medical license
- GMC Registration or within the application process
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in General Radiology
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team
- Commitment to providing highquality patient care
Daytoday
- Review patient imaging cases and provide diagnostic reports
- Collaborate with referring physicians to discuss imaging findings and recommend further diagnostic or treatment plans
- Lead or participate in clinical discussions and case conferences to enhance patient care
- Engage in ongoing professional development and educational activities to stay uptodate with current medical knowledge and industry trends
