Your part in St Andrews War Memorial
As part of the St Andrews War Memorial Hospitals theatre team you will be accountable for the provision of safe and holistic care within your scope of practice to individuals and their families supporting clinical staff as directed to achieve an environment for optimal patient outcomes within the theatre environment.
Youll complete a range of nonclinical support tasks providing support to the Specialists and Clinical Staff in the set up of theatres for surgery delivering an exceptional patientcentred experience by working collaboratively with your multidisciplinary team.
Some of your responsibilities will include
Complete case set ups for Theatre
Supporting theatres Sterile Store room
Taking theatre lists and selecting appropriate preference cards for the surgeon/ anaesthetist
Prepare any consumable prosthetic and reusable medical devices(instruments) from theatre lists
Support imprest monitoring
Escalate any equipment shortfall to managers
Maintenance of surgeon / anaesthetist preference cards
Ensuring the store room is organised and free from hazards
