Job Description

Maintenance Supervisor

$95000$115000 DOE

IKO is a global leader in manufacturing roofing products with production facilities worldwide we are currently seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team of skilled professionals based at our Sumas Washington plant. This plant produces premium roofing shingles and composite rolled roofing in a high speed continuous asphalt shingle manufacturing process environment

The successful candidate is an experienced results oriented handson progressive leader who can drive synergy between technological advancements and workplace performance. This position is responsible for the Maintenance Department which ultimately play a significant role in the success of the plant.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree in Engineering (or related discipline) or equivalent experience
  • Champion Safety and Quality Focused work behavior and assure compliance with related policies and laws (including environmentallyrelated).
  • Initiate and drive operational enhancement capital projects and operational improvements.
  • Provide highly developed leadership change management interpersonal communication and people skills to help drive plant performance.
  • Supervise maintenance staff leading the team in troubleshooting of mechanical problems and devise solutions for these problems.
  • Responsible for formulating and developing goals and objectives supervising assigned personnel and directing daytoday activities.
  • Participates in the selection and training of Mechanical department personnel
  • Ensure subordinates follow safety practices in work methods and procedures; enforces proper safety procedures while working in dangerous situations; educates employees on rules regulations codes safe work habits and potential hazards presented by their work environment.
  • Develops reviews and updates written maintenance instructions and schedules.

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Proven organization and followthrough skills
  • Proven track record of continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated ability to build team capability
  • Lean Manufacturing experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 progressive years in operations as a Maintenance Supervisor
  • Experience with Maximo or similar program
