What Youll Do

The Maintenance Projects Manager is responsible for leading a group of individuals to execute the rollout of various software and applications for the Infrastructure organization. This manager and team members will work closely with members from the Performance Improvement organization to seamlessly execute projects identified to increase process capacity and capability.

  • Addresses employee and customer concerns
  • Performs employee reviews based on expectations
  • Ensures employee training and qualifications are maintained
  • Provides leadership and personal interaction to promote positive work environment and encourages individual involvement and team collaboration
  • Provides input as improvement initiative teams develop plans and execute rollout to the organization
  • Supports the identification of inefficiencies and/or other relevant issues during the progress of the improvement actions
  • Responsible for briefing Infrastructure leadership on agreed upon periodicity on the progress and status of the projects with data analysis and recommendations for changes or adjustments
  • Assists with establishing and/or maintaining goals/metrics for improvement initiatives and/or maintaining performance
  • Assists with leading teams in problem solving
  • Other job duties as assigned/requested

Minimum Job Requirements

  • Bachelors degree with a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience and a minimum of 3 years of relevant supervisory/ management experience.
  • Applicants with a high school diploma or equivalent may be considered on an exceptional basis with 15or more years of relevant experience.
  • Supervisor/management experience may be obtained through a combination of:
    • Directly supervising people
    • Managing programs/projects that require leading diverse teams with job responsibilities including hiring personnel giving performance feedback personnel goal setting and/or mentoring/coaching. Note: Will be reviewed for relevancy toward the management experience requirement.
  • In addition the applicant must meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2 (i.e. High School diploma and 3 years nuclear experience or a DOE O 426.2 alternative). DOE 426.2 experience requirements can be satisfied following employment. In the interim newly hired personnel will not be assigned duties that could impact the safety basis of nuclear facilities. (Ref. DOE O 426.2)

Preferred Job Requirements

  • Broad knowledge of Infrastructure operations and a demonstrated understanding of procedures and requirements compliance relative to the organization.
  • Detailed understanding of SAP HANA with specific regard to the use as the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
  • Demonstrated computer skills and proficiency with the Microsoft Office products and ability to retrieve information from various sources.
  • Requires a high level of personal motivation with a proven ability to lead a group of individuals.
  • A customer service focus and the ability to work within changing situations to meet short deadlines is required.
  • A broad knowledge of requirements and processes related to Infrastructure/maintenance/utilities activities.
  • Experience in establishing and successfully managing paperbased or electronic records systems is required including a working knowledge of technical and nontechnical documentation standards.
  • Experience/training of the ADKAR model for change management.

Requires a Q clearance; however all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy Q clearance is required.

Position may require entry into Materials Access Areas (MAA) and participation in the Human Reliability Program (HRP). If HRP is required candidate must complete a counterintelligencescope polygraph pursuant to 10CFR 709. Medical requirements may apply.
