About the Role:

Hitachi Energy in Alamo TN is looking for a Power Components Assembler to join our team. This is an entrylevel position that will follow all safety and work procedures to stock parts visually inspect parts and components assemble from drawings or bill of materials wire panels and switches perform mechanical or electrical tests and package deenergized tap changers and power transformer components.

Responsibilities:

Utilize drill pressures fixtures torque wrenches and automated tightening equipment

Deenergize tap changers and power transformer components

Package materials to meet internal procedures and specifications industry standards and customer requirements

Handle assembly materials some being hazardous such as ethyl alcohol cleaning solutions gaskets Orings machined components (aluminum copper brass stainless steel) zinc oxide discs epoxy compounds fiberglass cardboard packaging and wood crates

Control or maintain auxiliary equipment such as pumps fans compressors condensers and filters

Clean lubricate or maintain equipment such as pumps and compressors to prevent failure or deterioration

Works with Product and Manufacturing Engineers to prepare and submit compliance operational and safety forms or reports

Work within a team structure with minimal supervision on routine tasks

Continuously train on new equipment and processes within the power components area

Read and comprehend safety procedures work instructions assembly drawings and wiring schematics

Operate and learn specialized internal programs needed to perform job functions

Requirements:

Associates technical degree or certification in industrial engineering mechanical engineering or related industry

One year of experience in a manufacturing assembly setting preferred

Able to regularly pick up and manipulate up to 40lbs safely
