Job Title: Electronics Assembly Technician
Job Code: 23676
Job Location: Camden NJ
Schedule: 9/80 reg with every other Friday off
Job Description:
The Operations Associate position is a bargaining represented position and is responsible for all aspects of assembly and repair of printed circuit boards electronic cabinets cable harnesses and/or electromechanical assemblies. Typical duties may include;hand solderingmechanical assemblyinspectioncable assemblyelectronic rack assemblyelectronic system assemblypointtopoint wiring.
Essential Functions:
- Ability to read understand and interpret electronic and mechanical diagrams and assembly instructions.
- Able to obtain IPC610 and/or J Standard 001 certifications
- Demonstrated aptitude for mechanical assembly
- Ability to tolerate exposure to solder paste flux and solder fumes.
- Proficient computer skills to include using Microsoft products (i.e. word email)
- Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience in mechanical assembly hand soldering and selfinspection
- IPC620 certifications
- Three (3) or more years of experience in high tech electronics environment
- Completion of a certified technical school training
