In this day shift role the Utility Operator is responsible for relieving or filling in the position of Fryer Cutter or Peeler Operator as instructed by your supervisor or as needed. Responsible for ensuring the proper preparation and operation of the Fryers Cutters and Peeling equipment. Monitors and adjusts fryers peelers cutting and related equipment to achieve optimum equipment performance and accuracy which results in meeting or exceeding product quality standards while maintaining sanitary conditions in the processing plant and keeping bacteria at acceptable levels.
Accountabilities:
- Responsibility to monitor work areas watch for suspicious behavior and report any concerns regarding unidentified visitors and/or unauthorized personnel.
- Authority to question and take appropriate measures regarding the safety of themselves other employees products and equipment.
- Responsibility of maintaining a high standard of cleanliness throughout the food processing facility especially where any raw or finished product is produced.
- Authority to report and/or eliminate hazards to the safety of the food that is produced in the facility.
- Promotes and adheres to company safety work rules and regulations.
- Operates and understands the functions of fryers cutter deck peelers and related equipment.
- Performs machine preventative maintenance checks diagnostic checks and routine adjustments on line equipment.
- Coordinates with other operators in varying departments.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists coworkers and supervisors in solving work problems.
- Collects samples monitors times temperatures and machine efficiencies to ensure product quality meets customer requirements.
- Monitors and maintains sufficient water level in pump tanks.
- Monitors and troubleshoots oil recovery system. Cleans and sanitizes processing equipment daily and during scheduled shutdown as needed. The employee may be required to successfully complete the orientation and training provided during the first ninety (90) days of employment.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); three or more months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Compensation Package:$21.83$24.24USD hourly bonuseligibility
The above reflects the target compensation range for the position at the time of posting. Hiring compensation will be determined based on experience skill set education/training and other organizational needs.
Night Shift Differential Pay: $1.50/hr
