Job Description

Are you ready to launch your career in the electrical trade Join our team as an Industrial Electrical Apprentice and gain handson experience in a dynamic and growing industry. If so we have the perfect opportunity for you!

Job Summary:

The MaintenanceElectrical Apprentice program is a 4 year commitment which is a combination of classroom training at Grand Rapids Community College in addition to working alongside a skilled Master Electrician. You will learn how to run all traderelated machines and expand your blueprint knowledge and skills.

What You Will Learn:

  • Interprets electrical blueprints and schematics recommending engineering changes as necessary
  • Installs electrical apparatus (i.e.: switches termination boxes lights photocells control enclosures etc.)
  • Bends and installs conduit to meet installation requirements
  • Solders electrical connectors
  • Wires subassemblies as well as completed product
  • Performs electrical analysis and troubleshooting using test equipment and devices

What We Are Looking For:

  • Eagerness to learn: Strong interest in electrical work and mechanical systems with a strong desire to develop new skills and grow within the company
  • Attention to Detail: An eye for precision and quality
  • Dependability: Strong work ethic and quality
  • Proven strengths and competencies in a manufacturing setting
  • High School Diploma/GED and strong mechanical knowledge of tools such as calipers micrometers and gauges
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office and Outlook
