Under supervision Staff Research Associate I will perform standard repetitive technical laboratory and/or field experimental procedures and receive training in the more difficult procedures usually requiring a theoretical background in one scientific field.
Under close supervision SRA 1 will assist in building a repository of biological samples from patients with lung disease and used to study the basic biology of human disease. The SRA I will process blood and lung specimens from patients maintain an accurate database of the specimens histologic staining of tissues; incumbent will perform biochemical experiments including DNA/RNA isolation ELISAs and immunoblotting PCR and cloning maintenance of cells in culture recording experiments in a lab notebook; incumbent will also be responsible for general laboratory maintenance and record keeping and perform other duties as directed.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
The salary range for this position is $26.00 $31.04 (Hourly Rate).
