Job Description

Description

Designer: Be part of a team that designs modifies writes and implements test equipment solutions (including hardware design and/or software programs using Robot / Cucumber for nonWeb applications Python Microcontroller programming UART communication protocols .NET Visual Studio OpenSSL Security tools WiFi chip programming tools etc.). You will support the development of or the investigation/analysis of issues to root cause and propose the fix implement changes and verify & validate the final solution for the development and testing of Smoke / CO alarms (both standalone Interconnected as well as IOT products). You will work with development and test engineers to turn requirements into deliverable products.

Lab: Be part of a team that builds test racks uses test equipment and instrumentation to test product designs. You will work with a cross functional team Test Engineers and developers to test products through the development cycle. You will investigate and analyze issues to root cause and propose the fix and verify & validate the final solution. An opportunity to be engaged in full product life cycle from inception to final product. Hands on lab work to test verify and validate that products meet customer requirements and needs. Use your creativity to develop testing concepts for a leading industry.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Setup and maintenance of test benches/racks and equipment
  • Manual and automated testing of devices with firmware focus
  • Firmware Verification and Validation
  • Documentation reviews
  • Requirements reviews
  • Device programming
  • Device Inventory



YOU MUST HAVE:

  • 3 years experience electrical engineering
  • 3 years experience in firmware test automation



WE VALUE:

  • Experience withTest Automation using Python / Robot / Cucumber
  • Experience working with Smoke / CO detectors is a plus
  • Individuals who take the initiative to get things done do things before being asked by others or forced to by events
  • Individuals that assemble facts from various areas analyze data and provide informed recommendations
  • Effectively using data to make intelligent decisions
  • Multitasking and has the ability to manage a variety of complex tasks
  • Some test engineering experience
  • Proven track record of device flash programming improving efficiency to increase flash programming capabilities following complex instructions with minimal errors or impact to downstream teams
