Position Summary Ultrasound Tech providesdiagnostic patient care services using ultrasound and related diagnostic procedures. Ultrasound Techis responsible for the independent operation of sonographic equipment and forperforming and communicating results of diagnostic examinations using sonography. The Ultrasound Techis also responsible for daily operations of the sonographic laboratory patientschedule equipment maintenance the report of equipment failures and quality assessment (QA). TheSonographer maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is selfmotivated to increaselevel of understanding and knowledge of the field disease and new procedures as they evolve.
Essential Functions Performs sonographic procedures on patients in a timely manner. Timely reports information to the Radiologist. Cleans and maintains equipment and prepares necessary reports and maintains all required records. Always ensures the safety of patients. Adheres to and follows all patient experience initiatives. On call duties required. Reports to and depart from work on time and as scheduled. Performs other duties as assigned. Must be able to deal with stress while maintaining composure. Follows and adheres to TRMC vaccine policy(s) mandated by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Work Experience Formal sonography training or two years on the job experience preferred.
Education Registered or registry eligible for ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) or ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography) required. Vascular Registry preferred. BLS (Basic Life Support) required within 30 days of hire date.
