Job Description:
AerojetRocketdyne an L3Harris Technologies Company is seeking a Manager of Test Engineering at our Orlando FL location. This role will lead a team of Test Engineers in environment test campaigns. The ideal candidate should have familiarity with the concepts of electronic test requirements and should understand program integrated master scheduling and and be able to organize team efforts to meet cost and schedule constraints of the in Orlando FL Coleman Aerospace is a prime tactical and strategic missile target system provider supporting ballistic missile defense testing. HighFidelity AirLaunched one two and three stage ballistic missile targets are their primary product line.
Essential Functions:
- Manage Test Engineers and assign work tasks as required to meet program schedules.
- Plan conduct and manage all aspects of the Test Operations activities.
- Act as a technical resource for all test operations.
- Ensure that all test activities are conducted in strict compliance to applicable Environmental Health and Safety directives and perform the necessary reviews audits and inspections to ensure compliance.
- Perform integration testing leading failure investigations perform root cause analysis and mistake proof planning.
- May assign work to other Test personnel to perform the above work but shall maintain oversight and provide direction to ensure compliance to applicable standards.
- Plan and conduct Test Operations specific Lean projects to improve efficiency facility utilization or process costs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 9 years prior related experience including Test Engineering. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Programming skills familiar with software development tools and processes
- Familiar with Root Cause Analysis tools such as Five Whys and Fault Tree Analysis as well as Mistake Proofing.
- Experienced with Environmental Stress Screening Acceptance Testing and Qualification Testing.
- General purpose test equipment proficiency (DMM oscilloscope power supplies network analyzers etc.).
- Knowledgeable of aerospace/defense engineering design and production disciplines.
