About the unit
4 Center OB Special Care is a specialty within the world of Obstetrics care. 4 Center providers expert individualized care for patients with highrisk pregnancies and pregnancy related conditions as well as postpartum care. Our most common diagnosis includes premature rupture of membranes preterm labor or contractions preeclampsia/hypertension cervical shortening vaginal bleeding hyperemesis and diabetes care. Our staff are trained in electronic fetal monitoring monitoring and assessing mother and fetal wellbeing and administering of highrisk medications.

We not only provide physical care but mental and emotional support for our patients experiencing a pregnancy loss or extended hospital stays. I love being able to support my patients through physical mental and emotional healing.

Scope of work
Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment diagnosis outcomes identification planning implementation and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice culturally congruent practice communication collaboration leadership education evidencebased practice and research quality of practice professional practice evaluation resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.
Qualifications
Associates in Nursing Required
Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years
MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Required within 90 days
612 months of inpatient RN experience preferred
