Overview

A skilled and experienced Radiology Consultant specialising in Head & Neck Radiology is sought to join a team at a University Hospital on the South Coast of England. The successful candidate will provide expertise in diagnostic interpretation and intervention for patients with head and neck conditions requiring a thorough understanding of medical imaging technologies and the ability to work collaboratively with medical professionals to provide highquality care to patients.

Responsibilities

  • Performing and interpreting imaging studies of the head and neck region including Xrays CT scans MRIs and ultrasounds.
  • Providing consultation and expertise to medical colleagues on complex head and neck cases.
  • Contributing to multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborating with other healthcare professionals in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.
  • Participating in research and maintaining knowledge of the latest advancements in head and neck radiology.
  • Contributing to the education and training of residents and fellows in the field of radiology.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree and board certification in radiology.
  • Fellowship training or equivalent experience in head and neck radiology.
  • Proven expertise in interpreting medical imaging studies of the head and neck.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with other medical professionals.
  • Dedication to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of advancements in the field.

Daytoday

  • Reviewing and interpreting imaging studies of patients with head and neck conditions.
  • Collaborating with oncologists otolaryngologists and other specialists to develop treatment plans.
  • Participating in tumour boards and interdisciplinary meetings to discuss complex cases.
  • Engaging in educational activities including teaching and mentoring residents and fellows.
  • Keeping up to date with the latest research and developments in head and neck radiology.
