Talbot operates within the Lloyds Insurance Market through Syndicate 1183 and Syndicate 2019. With an expert team of highly skilled and experienced underwriters and a balanced geographically diverse portfolio of business Talbot has earned a reputation as an industry leading insurance specialist.
Talbot writes a diversified portfolio including Crisis Management Energy Financial Lines Marine Political Risk Property and Terrorism. Drawing on our deep industry expertise Talbot develops tailored insurance solutions that address clients evolving and often unique needs.
Syndicate 2019 provides Lloyds investors with access to AIGs Private Client Select (PCS) portfolio.
Part of AIG since 2018 Talbot is committed to working with brokers and clients to deliver industry leading solutions. It is headquartered in London with offices in New York and Singapore.
How you will create an impact
- To assist in the monitoring and updating of operational reports
- Responsible for all documentation to be scanned and indexed into the DMS system
- Responsible for ensuring timeliness is met for all measured tasks (e.g. Data quality review peer review written date aggregate data entry etc.) For their team. This includes chasing and monitoring the workload
- To ensure data entry is in accordance with agreed guidelines e.g. endorsements quotes promise lines
- To ensure the underwriting teams promptly address item received electronically (i.e. electronic trading platforms and email)
- To ensure that underwriters resolve contract certainty queries/failures within a timely manner
- To act in accordance with all regulatory standards and principals
- Attend and prepare necessary documentation for team meetings (Underwriting and/or UTS).
- To adhere to the internal binder approval process
- To provide box support at Lloyds when required
- Responsible for building and maintaining close working relationships with third party providers and brokers
- Adhoc and general administration duties as and when required for the UTS Core team.
What youll need to succeed
- Excellent communication skills with all levels of staff.
- Good knowledge of the Lloyds Market and the classes of business written at Talbot.
- Excellent IT Skills.
- Working towards the CII exams.
