Summary of Job Duties:
The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is a specifically trained member of the OB/GYN Clinic team. Licensed Practical Nurse is to promote wellness improve outcomes and selfcare within a defined population of patients in an Outpatient Clinic. The LPN provides direct patient care to assigned patients. As a professional nurse the nursing process is utilized in the provision of care. The LPN practices within the limits of the Nurse Practice Act of the State of Arkansas and adheres to institutional policies procedures and standards.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
High School GED or formal educational equivalent. Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
1 year LPN experience.
Current and valid Arkansas Practical Nurse License.

Responsibilities:
Assist physicians and registered nurses with providing basic direct patient assessment.
Performs intake exams and health screenings monitors vital signs collects various swabs and specimens and administers diagnostic tests.
Develop communicate and implement patient treatment plans by evaluating patient wellbeing reporting any needs to medical staff and explaining treatments and procedures.
Provides a high standard of care and customer service to patients and families.
Ensures the comfort and wellbeing of patients by performing care activities such as feeding them changing dressings and bandages on wounds and transporting them from wheelchairs beds and gurneys.
Maintains organized medical records and fulfills records requests.
Participate in ad hoc research projects to improve performance management and patient care.
Performs other duties as requested.
