Title: Summer First Nations Mtis and Inuit Integrated Arts Teacher
Start Date: July 2 2025
End Date: July 29 2025

Posting Overview:
This is an internal/external posting open to Indigenous preference will be given to qualified L.K.D.S.B. permanent Secondary teachers.
The hiring for this position will be completed equitably in accordance with the Special Programs provisions of the Ontario Human Rights Code. A)Kettle and Stony Point First Nation / Forest
B)Bkejwanong First Nation / Wallaceburg
C) Aamjiwnaang First Nation / G.L.S.S.
- Ontario College of Teachers Certificate of Qualification required;
- Knowledge of and experience teaching various arts disciplines that explore or reflect First Nations Mtis and Inuit perspectives culture and traditions preferred;
- Knowledge of and experience teaching landbased educational approaches preferred;
- Knowledge of Kettle and Stony PointBkejwanong or Aamjiwnaang and their geographical features an asset;
- Experience working with Indigenous students an asset.
Only those who selfidentify as Indigenous will be considered.
Position Effective Date & Length Duration & Schedule:
Three positions available.
9:00 a.m. 2:30 p.m. 110 hours total
Rate: $58.58 per hour
