RiverLodge Assisted Living is looking for a Director of Care must be a R.N. or L.P.N. The Director of Care will organize and oversee all nursing operations of the facility. In this position you will create a collaborative and efficient workplace with attention to quality standards and policies. A director of care should be a hardworking and compassionate nurse who has steadily developed their managerial and administrative skills. Being efficient dedicated and a good listener and a problem solver is what will open our door for you. Our goal is to foster an excellent environment that will support everyone in working to the benefit of the facility and residents alike.
Responsibilities:
* Determine staffing needs to ensure that a sufficient number of LPNs CNAs and NAs are available for all shifts to ensure that quality of care is maintained.
*Develop work assignments and scheduling
*Ensure that policies and procedures are followed.
*Review complaints and grievances made or filed by department personnel. Make appropriate reports to the Administrator as required or as may be necessary.
*Develop and maintain a good working rapport with interdepartment personnel as well as other departments within within the facility to ensure that nursing services and activities can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
*Create and maintain an atmosphere of warmth personal interest positivity as well as a calm environment.
*Meet with your staff on a regular scheduled basis to assist in identifying and correcting problems areas and/or to assist in the improvement of services.
*Ensure that departmental disciplinary action is administered fairly.
*Interview prospective employees hire new employees maintain and carry out disciplinary programs monitor attendance andjobperformance.
*Willing to be oncall.
