JOB SUMMARY
Job Profile Summary
The Sr Engineer I will provide project management technical support leadership and oversight to all commercial operational regulatory and project driven activities as assigned across all the Business Units including gas and NGL pipelines gas conditioning compression and dehydration fractionation Carbon Dioxide (CCS) pipelines and facilities metering and construction.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Project scope development and basic project economic evaluation
Cost estimation and generation of AFEs
Development of project schedules
Manage engineering effort using inhouse and external 3rd party engineering resources
Material / equipment sizing and specification as needed
Material / equipment procurement
Construction Bidding and Contractor Selection work
Contract evaluation construction and commercial)
Project / construction management (cost and schedule controls)
Routine report generation
Review/advise on facility design and intended operation to ensure short and longterm viability/reliability of assets
Support project execution teams during design phase
Determine suitable technical solutions to address product specification and transportation concerns
Education
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Chemical or Petroleum Engineering is required.
Work Experience
68 years industry experience in midstream or refinery or petrochemicals;
At least 5 years of that experience must be in project management
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
Knowledge of pipeline design and related industry equipment operations and maintenance codes and practices measurement and Cathodic Protection compression design gas conditioning and dehydration design system planning / optimization gas and liquid pipeline hydraulics fractionation operation
Knowledge of: operational functions and commercial relationships with the ability to anticipate functional and transactional impacts
Ability to: apply knowledge and sound problemsolving skills which include the ability to: research analyze and resolve
Ability to: issues and/or questions concerning engineering design and calculations and aids others
Ability to: manage and prioritize multiple assignments with competing deadlines
Ability to: identify conceptualize and organize projects to completion goals and initiatives
Ability to: use logic and reasoning to identify alternate solutions or approaches to a problem
Ability to: apply math algebraic formulas and statistical methods
Ability to: interact negotiate advise and communicate effectively
Ability to: operate office tools and equipment required
Ability to: communicate thoughts ideas information messages and other written information which may contain technical material in a logical organized and coherent manner
Process/hydraulic simulation modelling experience like
Promax Synergi Gas or Synergi Water is a plus but not required
Strong communication skills both verbal and written
Selfmotivated and requires little supervision
