Job Schedule: 9/80:Employees work 9 out of every 14 days totaling 80 hours worked and have every other Friday off OR 5/8:Employees work 8 hours per day 5 days a week
Job Description:
L3Harris Tactical Communications seeking a MidLevel supplier quality engineer to support our radio accessories team. Successful candidates will have a technical background with experience in electromechanical assembly and quality. This role requires the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stake holders.
Essential Functions:
- Manage the supply chain to reduce variability increase reliability and ensure ontime delivery.
- Focus on problem prevention supplier quality control continuous improvement and data reporting.
- Facilitate Part/Process Qualification through Fai and PPAP.
- Manage material Inspection Plans and methods for production material.
- Collaborate with engineering suppliers and manufacturing for smooth transitions from concept to production.
- Support the development and commercialization of OEM Accessories
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree minimum of 8 years of prior related experience in Quality Engineering.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience with Batteries Audio Products or Antennas
- Experience in Six Sigma Lean methodologies Corrective & Preventive Action and Root Cause Analysis.
- Development of Risk Mitigation plans to support successful release of new radio accessories.
- Willingness to travel on occasion (25% or more) including international
In compliance with pay transparency requirements the salary range for this role in New York State is $71500 $132500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
