Everest Insurance a member of the Everest Re Group Ltd. has an opportunity available for a Branch Manager to cover Texas based out of our Houston TX office.
The mission of the team is to enable the underwriting teams to be more effective more efficient and more connected with our trading partners and to deliver the quotable opportunities that we want to write while utilizing our relationships and influence to help bind the business we quote. Our goal is to build a world class distribution platform that will serve to strengthen the brand and support profitable topline growth.
Responsibilities will include:
Representing all of the Everest products and services within an assigned region/geography
With a focus on external client and broker engagement working with the Everest senior leadership and underwriting teams to help build upon our distribution platform in the assigned region
External marketing to continue to get the Everest message out to our trading partners
Identifying new business opportunities within the region generating new business leads and develop existing client relationships through crossselling additional lines of business
Developing leading and executing on the regional strategy in collaboration with the Regional Executive.
Establishing strong relationships with client representatives and senior management teams of brokers (retail and wholesale) within the assigned region ensuring Everest capabilities and product set is well known and understood
Representing Everest at regional insurance industry and broker events
Talent Recruitment development of underwriters and strong leadership skills.
Work Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelors degree
12 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry
Proven track record of success in previous sales new business and/or client management roles
Broad industry network with key stakeholders in the retail broker wholesale broker and risk manager space
Driven highly motivated selfstarter
Strong communication and presentation skills
Excellent marketing and sales skills
A team player that works well with others across various geographies
Willingness to travel up to 50% must be based in Houston or Dallas areas
