Provide instructional leadership to ensure high standards of instructional service. Direct the implementation of district policies and instructional programs and manage the operation of all campus activities. QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Masters degreeMidManagement or Leadership Certificate / Principal Standard CertificateValid Texas Teaching certification or Principal Standard CertificateSpecial Knowledge/Skills:Working knowledge of curriculum and instructionAbility to evaluate instructional program and teaching effectivenessAbility to manage budget and personnel and coordinate campus functionsAbility to interpret and explain policy procedures and dataAbility to implement policy and proceduresKnowledge of personnel managementStrong communications public relations and interpersonal skillsOther qualifications deemed necessary by the BoardAbility to manage budget and personnel and to coordinate district functionAbility to meet established deadlinesAbility to remain flexible and adapt to changing demandsExperience:Three years experience as a classroom teacherAt least two years experience in instructional leadership role MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIESMonitor instructional and managerial processes to ensure that program activities are related to program outcomes and use these findings for corrective action and improvement as well as for recognition of with staff to plan implement and evaluate the curriculum on a systematic basis; include students parents and community representatives (when appropriate).Provide instructional resources and materials to support the teaching staff in accomplishing instructional collegiality and team building among staff; encourage their active involvement in the decision for twoway communication with superintendent staff students parents and and promote expectation for highlevel performance from staff and students; recognize excellence and effective and timely resolution of and build a common vision with staff for school improvement; direct planning activities and implement program collaboratively with staff to ensure attainment of schools analyze and apply research findings (e.g. effective school correlates) to facilitate school with the assistance of the sitebased decisionmaking committee annual campus performance objectives for each of the Academic Excellence maintain and use appropriate information systems and records necessary for attainment of campus performance objectives addressing each academic excellence and select new staff and approve all campus personnel and collaborate with Executive Director on teacher placement. Define expectations for staff performance regarding instruction strategies classroom management and communication with the employee performance record observation and conduct evaluation conferences with all recommendations relative to personnel placement transfer retention promotion and with subordinates regarding their professional growth; work jointly with them to develop and accomplish improvement with district policies as well as state and federal laws and regulations affecting the budgets based upon documented program needs estimate enrollment personnel and other fiscal needs; implement programs within budget limits; maintain fiscal control; accurately report fiscal the use of school facilities; supervise maintenance of facilities to ensure a clean orderly and safe with faculty and encourage student input to develop a student management system that results in positive student behavior and enhances the school that school rules are uniformly observed and enforced and that student discipline is appropriate and equitable. Ensures all disciplinary records and reports required by state law are prepared. Conduct conferences with parents students and teachers concerning school and student issues. Use information and insights provided through assessment instruments the district appraisal process and evaluative feedback from line supervisors and professional development programs to improve performance. Provide leadership in addressing challenges facing the profession; pursue professional development activities to improve skills related to job assignment; disseminate ideas and information to other professionals. Observe professional ethical standards in accordance with generally accepted community standards and the Texas Education Agency code of the schools mission to the community and solicit its support in realizing the awareness of school/community needs and initiate activities to meet those identified appropriate and effective techniques for community and parent campus staff in the planning of staff development behavior that is professional ethical and responsibleAdapt to changing demands by planning preparing and making necessary adjustments for distance other duties and responsibilities as RESPONSIBILITIES:Supervise and evaluate the performance of assistant principal teachers campus counselor diagnostician librarian aide coaches and support staff.
