Job Description
North Jersey Friendship House is looking for a parttime Janitor to work at various locations in Northern New Jersey.
Shift:
Monday through Friday (After 3 pm for a total of 4 hours) and Saturdays (After 3 pm for a total of 5 hours)
Essential Functions Include:
- Clean building floors by sweeping mopping scrubbing or vacuuming them.
- Gather and empty trash.
- Service clean and supply restrooms.
- Clean and polish furniture and fixtures.
- Clean windows glass partitions and mirrors using specific cleaners sponges and squeegees.
- Dust furniture walls machines and equipment.
- Mix water and detergents in containers to prepare cleaning solutions according to specifications.
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures.
- Any other duties deemed necessary for the cleanliness of the building.
Requirements:
- Minimum: 1year previous janitorial experience preferred.
- Ability to handle multiple projects.
- MUST have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.
