Job Description

Job Title: K4 Building Dyslexia Interventionist/Learning Specialist

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide dyslexia therapy services to students.
  • Recommend and place orders for instructional materials supplies equipment and visual aids aligned with student needs and district standards.
  • Address public audiences to explain program objectives and elicit support.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of current trends in the field and participate in ongoing professional development.
  • Exhibit a strong understanding of the schools programs and the teaching staffs skill levels.
  • Establish appropriate goals for the instructional support program based on the setting and needs of teachers served.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the schools Response to Intervention (RTI) plan.
  • Deliver smallgroup RTI instruction to students.
  • Model effective intervention strategies for teachers.
  • Assist teachers in analyzing RTI data and identifying appropriate student interventions.
  • Support teachers through studentcentered coaching cycles.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of available resources within and beyond the school and district.
  • Administer student assessments as needed.
  • Create an environment of trust respect and collaboration.
  • Promote a culture of continuous instructional improvement.
  • Establish and maintain professional norms of behavior.
  • Collaborate with teachers in designing effective instructional lessons.
  • Share expertise and best practices with staff.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and responsiveness to changing needs.
  • Reflect on professional practice and engage in development opportunities.
  • Prepare and submit accurate and timely reports.
  • Actively participate in the schools professional community.
  • Uphold professionalism including integrity and confidentiality.
