Job SummaryThe Engineer 1 Design Contractor supports the planning design and development of technical standards for natural gas distribution infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a motivated detailoriented engineer with strong interpersonal skills and a desire to contribute to the advancement of safe efficient gas delivery systems. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to think critically work independently and communicate effectively across teams.
Key ResponsibilitiesSupport gas storage and fueling station design assignments.
Design pipeline components mechanical systems and functionality.
Assist in planning and designing mechanical equipment and support maintenance activities.
Perform system balances to assess and resolve pipeline system challenges.
Provide field support and oversight during construction activities.
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Mechanical Civil or General required).
1 3 years of progressive engineering experience in design or related field.
Equivalent academic education and experience will be considered.
Engineer in Training (E.I.T.) Certification preferred.
Strong project management and task prioritization skills.
Excellent oral and written communication with the ability to engage across all levels of the organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (advanced Excel skills required).
Basic proficiency in ComputerAided Design (CAD) and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
Intermediate proficiency in CAD/GIS platforms for design and mapping.
Customerfocused critical thinker with initiative and adaptability.
Proven ability to collaborate within a matrix organizational structure (crossfunctional and hierarchical teams).
A selfstarter who takes initiative with minimal supervision.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to resolve complex issues with internal and external stakeholders.
Committed to safety innovation and continuous improvement.
Eager to learn and contribute to projects that directly support Americas critical energy infrastructure.
