Job Description
We are looking for a qualified and dedicated English Instructor to join our team for a newly launched diploma program in Health and Wellness Tourism. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in teaching English preferably within a vocational or tourism context. The instructor will be responsible for delivering English language instruction tailored to the needs of students preparing for careers in the hospitality and wellness tourism industry. Preapproval from the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) is essential.
Key Responsibilities:
English Language Instruction:
Deliver engaging English language courses that focus on vocational communication including terminology used in hospitality and tourism.
Develop lesson plans instructional materials and assessments that align with the program s learning outcomes.
Conduct language labs speaking workshops and written communication sessions.
Academic Contribution:
Collaborate with faculty to integrate English learning into the broader curriculum.
Participate in curriculum design and academic planning.
Support simulation sessions by providing language guidance and feedback.
Student Support and Supervision:
Monitor and assess students language development and provide personalized feedback.
Mentor students to build confidence in professional English communication.
Assist with preparation for industryrelated interviews and workplace communication.
Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure all teaching practices comply with TVTC standards and institutional policies.
Maintain accurate records of student attendance performance and assessments.
Requirements
Educational Background:
Bachelor s degree in English Applied Linguistics TESOL or a related field (mandatory).
A Master s degree is a plus.
Experience:
Minimum of three years of teaching English preferably in a vocational or tourismrelated setting.
Experience with adult learners or diplomalevel education is desirable.
Certifications:
Preapproval from the Technical and Vocational Training Corporation (TVTC) is essential.
TESOL CELTA or equivalent certification is a plus.
Language Skills:
Native or nearnative proficiency in English.
Proficiency in Arabic is an advantage.
Skills and Competencies:
Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
Ability to tailor English instruction to vocational and industryspecific needs.
Familiarity with educational technologies and online learning tools.
Excellent communication interpersonal and organizational skills.
Commitment to studentcentered learning and continuous improvement.
