Job Summary
The Titan Accessible program in the Academic Technology Center (ATC) of the Division of Information Technology is seeking highly motivated student assistants to make documents and audio/video files accessible.
Under direct supervision the IT Titan Accessible student assistant(s) are responsible for processing and remediating documents and other electronic files tagging and fixing page structures reviewing and editing transcripts for closed captions to make them accessible to assistive technologies. Extensive training will be provided. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Ability to learn and perform assigned work; follow oral instructions; work cooperatively with faculty staff and other students; communicate effectively with all levels; and read and write English at a level appropriate to the position.
Selfmotivated quicklearner work independently and the ability to work cooperatively with university staff and faculty. Efficient and accurate data entry experience working in an office environment working knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and the Microsoft Office Suite including Word PowerPoint and Excel. Ability to work with minimal supervision must be detailoriented punctual and a selfstarter who can exercise independent judgment. Experience with a Learning Management System (Canvas). Familiarity with academic software.
Required Qualifications
Background Check
A background check (including a criminal records check) must be completed satisfactorily and is required for this position. CSU will make a conditional offer of employment which may be rescinded if the background check reveals disqualifying information and/or it is discovered that the candidate knowingly withheld or falsified information. Failure to satisfactorily complete the background check may affect the continued employment of a current CSU employee who was conditionally offered the position.
