What We Do:

What We Need YOU To Do:
The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency wants you to be our newest environmental specialist in the Division of Environmental Response and Revitalization (DERR) at our Southwest Office in Dayton Ohio.
Lets dive in.
As Ohio EPAs environmental specialist you will prepare and implement work plans sampling plans reports and technical memoranda associated with the investigation of environmental releases from hazardous waste sites sites participating in the Voluntary Action Program (VAP) sites subject to remediation under CERCLA and RCRA authorities and sites subject to remediation under state authority. Youll ensure field activities are carried out per approved work plans acting as the district site coordinator for assigned sites.
Youll review various plans drawings and specifications for the construction operation and maintenance of remedial activities at assigned sites ensuring activities are carried out in accordance with their specifications. Youll conduct periodic inspections of sites to verify remedy effectiveness. You will coordinate these activities with other agency personnel other state and federal agencies and any responsible parties.
Additionally youll participate in public meetings and provide technical assistance to participants in the states VAP program the regulated community consultants and government officials regarding applicable laws regulations and division policy. Youll also review new regulations and standards and make recommendations for their efficient implementation or further modification.
