Job Description

The Vice President will assist with oversight of the property management operations across a growing portfolio of BuildtoRent (BTR) communities in the DallasFort Worth area. This role is responsible for driving financial performance leading the leasing and marketing efforts achieving overall operational excellence and creating unmatched resident satisfaction across multiple markets. The ideal candidate will have experience in singlefamily rental and/or multifamily property management with a strong understanding of the unique dynamics of the BTR sector.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee daytoday operations across a regional portfolio of BTR communities ensuring performance targets are met or exceeded.
  • Provide strategic leadership to onsite and regional teams including Property Management Leasing Marketing and Maintenance.
  • Develop and execute business plans annual budgets and capital expenditure strategies for each asset.
  • Monitor leasing velocity rent growth occupancy and operational metrics to ensure optimal performance.
  • Oversee HOA management companies and enforceHOA guidelines within BTR communities.
  • Implement standardized operating procedures and best practices tailored to the BTR asset class.
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team to support brand strategy leaseup campaigns and digital lead generation.
  • Lead training development and performance management of site teams fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
  • Conduct regular site visits to assess performance ensure compliance and support team development.
  • Partner with development and construction teams during the leaseup and handover phases of new communities.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies local housing laws and fair housing regulations.
  • Report on financial performance and operational updates to executive leadership.

Education & Experience

  • 7 years of progressive experience in property management with at least 3 years in a regional leadership role.
  • Experience in the BuildtoRent or singlefamily rental industry strongly preferred.
  • Experience with HOA management preferred.
  • Proven track record of managing multisite portfolios preferably in highgrowth or leaseup environments.
  • Strong leadership team development and strategic planning skills.
  • Exceptional knowledge of property management software (e.g. Yardi RealPage Buildium SalesForce).
  • Proven ability to leverage AI technologies in a professional setting; strong technical aptitude required.
  • Deep understanding of marketing strategy and lead generation with proven experience executing campaigns across multiple digital platforms (e.g. social media email SEO PPC and CRM tools)
  • Ability to travel regularly throughout the assigned region.
  • CAM CAPS CRM or CPM credentials preferred

Skills & Abilities

  • Experience launching or scaling new BTR communities.
  • Financial acumen including P&L responsibility and budget oversight.
  • Excellent communication organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong grasp of local market trends and competitor dynamics
