Job Scope: The Manager of Crisis Services provides program leadership daytoday oversight clinical and administrative oversight to a team of clinicians providing phone crisis support outreach 24/7 crisis assessments stabilization and communitybased interventions to clients across the lifespan in the Designated Service Area (currently: Schaumburg and Elk Grove Townships and supporting active KYC clients in other areas.) Maintain operational capacity for the program. Serve as effective liaison to agency divisions and behavioral health educational medical and emergency systems. Perform crisis assessments as needed and provide communitybased interventions and stabilizations.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the oversight coordination and overall performance of the Mobile Crisis Response team
  • Support MCR Supervisor and leadership team to coordinate daytoday clinical and administrative operations and activities of team of clinicals and recovery engagement peer staff
  • Establish and update evolving emergency contact protocol for crisis line and act as unit contact to problem solve ongoing response issues and call management
  • Provide supervision and performance evaluation for 24 direct reports (Supervisor and/or Team lead Lead clinical staff and Administrative staff as needed)
  • Provide back up oversight and supervision for teams in the absence of Team Lead/Supervisor
  • Provide clinical and administrative supervision of employees including clinical direction and assistance with assessment treatment planning resource linkage and service delivery
  • Maintain a high level of personal and team documentation compliance including timely review and signing of team members mental health assessment and treatment plans
  • Ensure that all clinical activities performed by the teams are compliant with standards policies and procedures of the organization and producing according to the position requirements
  • Act as a liaison between KYC behavioral health teams to ensure service coordination and continuity of care
  • Provide ongoing performance evaluation for supervisees building on strengths and identifying ongoing growth/training needs
  • Develop and implement plan for the team to strengthen relationships with and provide outreach services to local community providers
  • Collaborate with Deputy Director in identifying unit performance measures and annual budget
  • Provide oversight of the deliverable reports to DHS/DMH
  • Effectively implement and monitor program performance including individual and unit productivity expectations
  • Monitor unit staffing needs develop job descriptions interview hire and orient new staff
  • Receive administrative input from supervisor and provide feedback regarding administrative issues
  • Participate in problem identification and resolution and clinical quality assurance as a member of the Quality Assurance Committee (CQI)
  • Represent Agency at community events
  • Interpret and communicate at a service delivery level KYC policy and procedures
  • Participate in program planning service coordination practice development as a member of PSC CQI and BH Managers Meeting
  • Provide input on the EOC for the Mount Prospect and Parkview offices
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Case management services and individual therapy as appropriate
Requirements
  • Masters degree from an accredited college or university of social work psychology or a related discipline. Licensure of LCPC or LCSW highly preferred. Applicants with significant crisis experience within 1 year of LCPC/LPHA licensure eligible to apply
  • Minimum of four years of experience providing mental health treatment services including crisis intervention and case management.
  • Preferred two years of demonstrated ability to provide clinical and administrative supervision
  • Experience in program management development of mental health programming or demonstrated growth with increasing levels of responsibilities
  • Valid drivers license proof of insurance and reliable transportation required.
  • Basic technology and computer proficiency: knowledge of Word Excel Powerpoint PDF Electronic Medical Record systems typing skills smartphone messaging and applications team communication platforms (ex. Microsoft 365) and internet skills
Schedule
  • Full Time Exempt 37.5 hour work week
  • Hours typically MondayFriday during business hours. Must be flexible and available to work evenings and/or weekends as needed to support and ensure coverage of 24/7 crisis program.
  • Participate in oncall rotation to provide program leadership and QMHPlevel support for staff working 24/7 providing crisis services
