Medical Laboratory Scientist MLS
Texas Health Arlington Memorial
- Work location:800 W. Randol Mill Rd. Arlington TX 76012
- Work environment:Lab
- Work hours: Part time 24 hours weekly Days; Thursday Friday and Saturday;
Texas Health Arlington Memorial Hospital has a rich history in North Texas serving the local communities of Arlington Kennedale Pantego Mansfield and Grand 369bed acutecare fullservice hospital serving our community since 1958. Our location in central Arlington provides convenient caretopeople in the DFW Metroplex and surrounding areas.
We specialize in comprehensive medical/surgical care cancer care womens services behavioral healthneurosciences and emergency medicine. Plus were a Level III neonatal intensive care unit Level III Maternal Newborn care unit and a Level III Trauma Center. Were accredited by the American College of Surgeons as a Comprehensive Community Cancer Center and by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers.
Texas Health Arlington Memorial is a Joint Commissioncertified Primary Stroke Center a Chest PainCenter and a Heart Failure Center. Weve been recognized by the American Heart Association with a Gold Plus award for the exceptional care we provide to our stroke heart failure and chest pain patients. What Youll Need
- Bachelors Degree in Medical Technology Applied Technology Clinical Lab Science or Chemical Physical or Biological Science is highly preferred and is required to be obtained within 3 months of hire. (Must comply with CLIA regulations regarding foreign education equivalency is required. CLIAFE). (Individuals hired as a CLS II prior to January 3 2010 will be grandfathered to the MLS position with existing education.)
- Internship in an approved Medical Technology training program is required.
Two (2) years of experience in aclinicalMedical Laboratory is preferred. - MT(ASCP) Medical Technologist a MLS(ASCP) Medical Lab Scientist or AMT AAB HHS NCA HEW CLS CA FL NY state license Philippine Board of Technical Technology is required within 6 months of hire.
- Or a M(ASCP) Microbiology if working in Microbiology is required within 6 months of hire.
