ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for operating injection molding machine(s).
• Run production and perform required quality checks to ensure parts meet specifications. Defects to be reported per quality procedures.
• Set up troubleshoot and operate injection molding machines to cast products from thermoplastic materials.
• Install dies on machine according to work order specifications using clamps bolts and hand tools.
• Set machine controls regulating molding temperature volume of plastic molding pressure and time according to knowledge of plastics and molding procedures.
• Pour premixed plastic powders or pellets into hopper and start machine.
• Close dies and inject plastic into dies to cast part.
• Remove finished product from dies using hand tools.
• Prompt regular attendance is required.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Must have at least 13 years experience in setting up and operating injection molding equipment.
• Knowledge of equipment operation routines basic shop math and precision measuring instruments.
• Must have good mechanical aptitude machine debugging and problem solving skills.
• Ability to sit stand and perform repetitive activities for sustained periods of time.
• Ability to operate equipment; lift and move finished product weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Proficiency in using personal computer including Windowsbased applications.
• Experience with Oracle SAP or similar inventory control system a plus.
