Job Description:
The Regulatory Auditor position plays a critical role in safeguarding the integrity and compliance of pharmacy operations. This position is responsible for conducting comprehensive audits of pharmacy locations ensuring adherence to company policies standard operating procedures and all applicable state and federal position evaluates pharmacy practices identifies potential risks and provides actionable insights to enhance operational efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance. This role requires a keen attention to detail a strong understanding of pharmacy regulations and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to drive continuous improvement in audit processes and compliance standards.
Essential Functions:
Conducts comprehensive pharmacy audits both virtually and inperson following a structured and consistent cadence as established by the Compliance Department ensuring adherence to internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Prepares detailed accurate and timely audit reports outlining findings trends and compliance gaps and communicates them to the appropriate management team members for corrective action.
Coordinates with Pharmacy Operations to align audit findings with operational and strategic goals providing datadriven insights that support decisionmaking enhance compliance and drive continuous improvement across pharmacy operations.
Collaborates with store management during onsite audits to address compliance issues in realtime when feasible minimizing operational disruptions.
Assists in developing corrective action plans ensuring longterm compliance and risk mitigation.
Partners with Pharmacy Operations to identify training opportunities for pharmacy staff based on audit findings fostering continuous education and process improvement.
Generates datadriven reports to track compliance trends identify highrisk areas and proactively target areas for future audits to strengthen overall pharmacy operations.
Conducts audits within both the dispensing and patient management systems identifying potential compliance risks inappropriate usage and areas prone to high error rates.
Upholds the highest standards of confidentiality in all aspects of the role ensuring the integrity and privacy of patient and business information.
Maintains strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA and all relevant regulations.
Adheres to all organizational policies procedures and ethical business practices ensuring a culture of compliance and operational excellence.
Proven ability to work collaboratively with pharmacy leadership compliance teams and frontline pharmacy staff to drive process improvements and ensure a culture of compliance.
Position requires a minimum of 50% travel.

Possesses leadership skills and abilities:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in a healthcarerelated field preferred or equivalent work experience in a pharmacy environment with progressively increasing levels of responsibility will be considered.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmacy operations auditing compliance or regulatory oversight preferably within a retail specialty or hospital pharmacy setting.
Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws regulations and compliance requirements including but not limited to HIPAA DEA FDA and Board of Pharmacy regulations.
Experience conducting pharmacy audits identifying compliance risks and implementing corrective actions to ensure adherence to internal policies and external regulatory standards.
Familiarity with pharmacy management systems dispensing software and electronic health records (EHRs) to effectively audit patient profiles and operational workflows.
Preferred Requirements:
Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) registration with a solid understanding of pharmacy workflows medication dispensing and inventory control.
Experience with sterile compounding/home infusion and central fill pharmacy operations preferred.
