As a Vice President Latin America Legal Entity Controllers within the WHEM team you will play a crucial role in supporting Corporate Investment Banking Legal Entities across Latin America. Your responsibilities will include coordinating with the line of business finance teams product controllers operations and the Legal Entity Controller community to advance the Legal Entity agenda.
Job Responsibilities:
- Embrace a role that offers a balanced mix of Legal Entity accounting and control on a monthly basis including monthend close process FX Trade Out parent/child accounting equity pick up review of interentity breaks cash breaks and unnatural general ledger balance monitoring.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders in Product Controllers Financial Controllers External Reporting and business lines gaining the opportunity to deepen your understanding of the Financial Statements and Regulatory Requirements.
- Manage the monthend analytical review of the legal entity to ensure completeness and accuracy of the financial statements and preparation of various reports including Legal Entity and line of business financial commentary Indirect Expenses budget analysis and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Demonstrate strong organizational and teamwork skills working closely with the wider team to compile succinct updates that are reflected in professional materials for various governance forums.
- Effectively partner and establish relationships across functions and levels to execute initiatives that contribute to working groups and Latam LEC Management and Strategy.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills:
- Coordinate and manage the delivery of the LEC including systems and reports for key Latam legal entities including preparation of filings like FR2314 and FIFEC030
- Coordinate and manage Investigation analysis and resolution of issues and response to adhoc queries.
- Critically review and assist in the Booking Model and ongoing Legal Entity Control Standard compliance monitoring.
- Ability to manage and take responsibility for own work producing reliable highquality outputs to an agreed timeline. Good task management skills and ability to prioritize and work in tight deadlines.
- Ability to communicate clearly and have attention to detail with the written and oral presentation skills to deliver clear messages for to the stakeholders across different functions and senior management.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills:
- Chartered Accountant / MBAwith minimum 8 years experience preferably with financial services industry and experience of IFRS/US GAAP preferred
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills including an ability to prepare executive level presentations.
- Ability to multitask and work well under pressure with an ability to be flexible in a dynamic and challenging environment with advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
- Strong accounting and analytical acumen with ability to understand produce and explain income statement and balance sheet content and variances
- Good experience in setting up and running successful governance forums.
