Job Description
The Role of Mobile Plant Fitter:
Are you a skilled Fitter with a passion for working on heavy machinery In this role youll be at the heart of keeping our fleet of plant equipment running smoothly wherever its needed. From construction sites to industrial facilities and events youll ensure that our fleet of machinery is in peak working condition minimising downtime and being the trusted expert that our customers rely on. Your Responsibilities will include:
- Travel to customer sites and other locations to diagnose and resolve heavy plant and equipment performance issues.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs.
- Replace and monitor oil and fluids to maintain optimal functionality.
- Provide excellent technical support and advice to customers.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections repairs and servicing activities.
- Manage and procure parts to ensure timely and effective repairs.
- Adhere to Health and Safety regulations conducting safety checks and implementing safe working practices.
- Escalate complex issues to the Central Service Manager.
- Uphold high company standards and promote exceptional customer service.
Are you the right person
Wed love to see the following skills qualifications and experience from our applicants:
- Demonstrated experience working with Plant generators and/or similar equipment preferably in the plant hire construction or industrial sectors.
- Solid understanding of Plant Mechanics operation maintenance and fault diagnosis.
- Ability to work independently and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
- Relevant qualifications in electrical or mechanical engineering or equivalent experience.
- A CSCS Gold Card (preferred).
- Strong communication skills especially in explaining technical issues clearly.
- A customerfirst mindset.
- A full UK driving licence.
