Overview
Our client is a prominent service provider in the business information technology and communications sectors across AU and NZ and collaborates with customers to offer comprehensive solutions from strategic consulting to application and infrastructure services. The company has established itself as a preferred supplier for major corporate and government organizations known for its ability to consult design build operate and support business solutions. They are seeking a Mission System Integrator to:
- Lead the integration design delivery and managing associated design gate reviews and design approvals for webbased ICT systems associated with the scope of work.
- Analyse requirements in FPS HLD and Active Network Designs. Develop designs that align to Defence patterns. Participate in associated reviews and approvals.
Responsibilities:
- Demonstrable experience in designing and documenting software interfaces and interoperability between ITbased mission systems
- Skilled and effective communicator both oral and written along with great troubleshooting
- Ability to work in a team environment participate in project meetings and engage with both business and technical stakeholders. Including efficient time management skills
Experience required:
- Good understanding of Defence projects and the System Engineering Life Cycle
- Technical experience with:
- Application integration
- ISREW mission systems
- SOA concepts and models
- API concepts (REST and JSON)
- Network routing and protocols
- Messaging concepts (specifically SOAP)
- Storage architectures
- Microsoft RHEL and ESB product stacks
- Minimum 5 years experience in management integration operation or maintenance of military/strategic ICT based mission systems
Desirable
- Desired current industry experience with the following toolsets:
- IBM DOORS
- DODAF2 framework
- FPS Development
- Visio
Location: This role is based in Canberra ACT.
Contract terms: to 30 June 2025 1x12 month extension available.
Security Requirements: Candidates require Australian citizenship along with an active TSPV (Top Secret Positive vetting). Candidates will need to be willing to undergo preemployment checks which may include ID and work rights security clearance verification and any other client requested checks.
