About the Role
The Financial Controller is responsible for managing and coordinating the financial operations of the Groups Australian and overseas entities. This role ensures accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with both Australian Accounting Standards (AASB) and US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP) while supporting the broader strategic objectives of the organisation. Working closely with the Head of Finance the Financial Controller plays a key role in financial consolidation crossborder reporting process improvement and the delivery of highquality financial insights. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise and a proactive approach to managing multijurisdictional accounting operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daytoday financial operations across both the Australian and US entities ensuring compliance with all relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
- Manage the general ledger including reconciliations of key accounts bank statements intercompany transactions and consolidations.
- Lead monthend and yearend close processes across jurisdictions.
- Prepare monthly management accounts as well as monthly quarterly and annual financial reports in accordance with AASB and US GAAP as required.
- Ensure compliance with relevant tax and reporting obligations including BAS GST FBT and US equivalent filings.
- Support the budgeting process by providing financial analysis forecasting future financial trends and identifying variances.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems with a focus on automation efficiency and internal control enhancements.
- Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends anomalies and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare reports and recommendations for management review.
- Collaborate with HODs to provide financial insights that drive strategic decisions and commercial outcomes.
- Partner with the Operations Marketing and Product teams to support inventory planning promotional forecasting and ROI analysis.
- Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and systems with a focus on automation efficiency and internal control enhancements.
About You
- Passion about female empowerment diversity and inclusion in the fashion industry.
- Outstanding attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.
- Ability to work deadlines and manage competing priorities.
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles and sound knowledge of internal controls
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Xero MYOB NetSuite QuickBooks or similar); ERP experience is an advantage.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work in a fastpaced environment produce high quality work under pressure and meet deadlines

- Critical thinker with an investigative nature a problemsolving mindset and an analytical approach to work
Experience & Skills:
- 5 years commercial experience preferably in the ecommerce industry multinationally
- Bachelor of Finance/Commerce/Business (or equivalent)
- CA/CPA qualification (or working towards)
- Strong knowledge of AASB US GAAP and relevant regulatory environments.
- Demonstrated experience with financial consolidations and crossborder reporting.
