A leading manufacturer of thermal processing and environmental test solutions is hiring a Plant Controller to join its growing team in New Columbia PA.
This organization is known for designing and building innovative industrial and laboratory ovens furnaces and temperature and stability test chambers for a wide range of sectors including aerospace defense medical pharmaceutical and electronics. With a strong portfolio of trusted product brands and a global footprint they serve customers across a spectrum of hightech and highly regulated industries.
The Plant Controller will serve as a key financial leader at the New Columbia location managing all aspects of accounting operations and partnering with executive leadership to drive strategic financial decisions. This is a handson leadership position responsible for leading a team of accounting professionals across multiple sites and ensuring compliance accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct and coordinate accounting activities including budgeting financial reporting payroll and internal controls.
Supervise preparation and analysis of monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and reports.
Oversee general ledger functions accounts receivable cost accounting and depreciation schedules.
Conduct cost analyses and rate studies to support pricing and strategic planning decisions.
Lead external audit preparation and ensure accurate and compliant external financial reporting.
Implement and maintain robust financial systems and recommend improvements for process efficiency.
Review financial performance with leadership and advise on fiscal strategy and risk management.
Guide the preparation and evaluation of operating budgets and support variance analysis.
Ensure internal audit practices are thorough and corrective actions are implemented as needed.
Manage and mentor a team of accounting staff across locations fostering a collaborative and highperformance culture.
Key Requirements:
Proven track record managing accounting operations within a manufacturing environment.
Strong experience with cost accounting forecasting and financial analysis.
Handson experience leading external audits and implementing internal financial controls.
Demonstrated ability to present financial data clearly to senior leadership and crossfunctional teams.
Prior experience supervising accounting staff and building strong team dynamics.
Key Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field required; CPA or CMA certification strongly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting including leadership roles.
Expertise in financial systems and ERP software; proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Strong analytical communication and interpersonal skills.
Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
