Essential Functions / Responsibilities:
Developing standard business case models and comparative views that can be used to clearly show the full wing to wing value of additive and its impact on typically nonaccounted for benefits. Leveraging both your product design and manufacturing design transfer experience to help launch new Additive production lines. Create detailed execution plans to help guide the Additive engineering teams through the R&D development of specific Additive Applications to a fully industrialized manufacturing process. Work with the right sourcing and legal teams to help assess the financial health of potential new Additive Suppliers for long term sustainability and supply chain security. Work as a key project coordinator getting all the right functions involved and driving the execution. Working closely with our Asset Management team Additive MFG team and Sourcing to create a more strategic process for leveraging Additive made tooling to greatly reduce our annual capitol spend on supplier tooling.
Qualifications / Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent in Engineering Supply Chain Management or related. Five (5) years of progressive experience in supply chain product engineering or a combination thereof.
Work experience to include: Domain experience across additive technologies to include: DMLM (including Stainless Steel Tungsten Aluminum or Copper) and Binderjet; Leveraging both product design and manufacturing design transfer experience to help launch new Additive production lines; Developing standard business case models and comparative views to clearly show the full wing to wing value of additive and its impact on typically nonaccounted for benefits; Creating detailed execution plans to help guide the engineering teams through the R&D development of specific additive applications to a fully industrialized manufacturing process; Working knowledge and understanding of document control design transfer verification validation acceptance activity DMR DHR and electronic signature requirements to ensure that product equipment tools processes software training or documentation meet requirements; and Working knowledge of and compliance with quality assurance processes for medical devices as well as applicable laws and regulations. Approximately 15% domestic and international travel required to support design transfer activities to unanticipated sites for the production launch of new additive applications. Travel expenses to be paid by employer.
