About the Position and What Youll Do:
You will perform key human resources work for our missiondriven agency. Your main subprograms will be: PreHire processes and Orientation; Personnel Actions; and Job Postings and Candidate Screening. You will also work with position descriptions assist with personnel records and perform other generalist duties and provide back up support to benefits and payroll. We are a smaller state agency which means you will have direct exposure to many programs and can grow your skills while having an immediate impact. We work together regularly and closely and frequently interface with members of the OPD workforce across all levels of the organization.
Your duties include but are not limited to:
A personfirst service mindset will serve you well in this position as will skills in relationshipbuilding business process management active listening and written and verbal communication. You should also be comfortable doing independent detailed and sometimes repetitive work.
This HCM Analyst position is assigned to the State of Ohios E1 Pay Schedule Pay Range 10. Starting pay will be at Step 1 unless required by contract/legislation; Candidates with exceptional qualifications may be considered for higher starting pay. Our steps give a standard path for earnings growth: you move to the next step after six months and annually thereafter. We typically have fiscal year Cost of Living Adjustments as well.

The following are the minimum qualifications for this position:
2 yrs. exp. in human resources.
Or completion of undergraduate core program in human resources business or public administration.
Or 1 yr. exp. as Human Capital Management Associate 64611.
Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
