AT&T is hiring to support a US Government Program that provides IT Services to US Strategic Command located in Omaha Nebraska.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
- Network Design and Implementation: Design implement and optimize WAN solutions to ensure reliable and efficient connectivity across multiple locations.
- Configuration Management: Configure and manage WAN devices such as routers switches firewalls and other network hardware.
- Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor WAN performance identify issues and perform advanced troubleshooting to resolve network problems promptly.
- Security Management: Implement and maintain network security measures to protect data transmitted across the WAN. This includes setting up VPNs encryption and access controls.
- Performance Optimization: Analyze network traffic and optimize WAN performance to ensure high availability and minimal latency.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of the WAN infrastructure including network diagrams configurations and standard operating procedures. Generate regular reports on network performance and health. Collaboration: Work closely with other IT teams including LAN administrators server administrators and application teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of the network.
- Upgrades and Maintenance: Plan and execute upgrades patches and maintenance activities to keep the WAN infrastructure uptodate and secure.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for network services equipment and support.
- Disaster Recovery: Develop and implement disaster recovery plans to ensure network resiliency and business continuity in case of network failures or emergencies.

Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Several years of experience in network administration with a focus on WAN technologies and infrastructure.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or similar credentials.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in configuring and managing WAN technologies including MPLS BGP OSPF VPNs and SDWAN solutions. Strong understanding of networking protocols and standards.
- ProblemSolving: Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills to diagnose and resolve complex network issues.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with team members stakeholders and external vendors.
- Education: A degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field is often preferred.

- Familiarity with US STRATCOM Network & IT Operations
- Familiarity with US Air Force Network & IT Operations
