This position will work in the Treasurers Office on the University of Maine at Augusta campus. The Administrative Specialist is responsible for a variety of administrative and clerical tasks that require strong organizational skills and flexibility. This role serves as the primary point of contact and an ongoing resource for both internal and external stakeholders handling a wide range of verbal and written communications.
Collaboration within a team is essential along with a commitment to exceptional customer service maintaining confidentiality filling administrative coverage gaps as needed and managing multiple tasks effectively. The ability to prioritize and navigate a diverse environment with frequent interruptions is crucial. The position seeks an individual with sound judgment and initiative because work is typically carried out under general guidance rather than specific instructions.
Key Responsibilities Include:
The hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM. This position reports to the Chief Business Office and is an integral part of a dynamic team.
Salary: The starting wage for this position is $18.86 an hour (nonnegotiable) for a new hire or the appropriate transfer rate for a current employee ACSUM/COLT unit member with the University of Maine System.
