Job Description

Our client is a leading commercial construction and development firm based in Dallas TX. Specializing in highquality building projects across the region. With a reputation built on integrity precision and longterm client relationships our client is seeking a seasoned financial professional to support our continued growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

    • Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable/receivable general ledger payroll and bank reconciliations.
    • Utilize Sage 50 to manage and maintain accurate financial records.
    • Prepare monthly quarterly and annual financial statements and management reports.
    • Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
    • Monitor and analyze financial performance identifying trends and providing recommendations for improvement.
    • Ensure compliance with federal state and local financial regulations.
    • Coordinate with external CPA for audits tax filings and yearend close.
    • Implement and maintain effective internal controls and financial procedures.
    • Support project managers with job costing budgeting and financial tracking.
    • Supervise and develop accounting staff (if applicable).

Qualifications:

    • Bachelors degree in accounting Finance or related field (CPA preferred but not required).
    • Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience with at least 2 years in a controller or senior accounting role.
    • Proficiency with Sage 50 is required.
    • Experience in the construction industry strongly preferred.
    • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards.
    • Excellent analytical problemsolving and organizational skills.
    • High attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and confidentiality.
    • Ability to communicate financial information clearly to both financial and nonfinancial stakeholders.
