Position Summary:
Are you passionate about supporting patients in their rehabilitation journey We are seeking a dedicated Rehabilitation Technician to join our team at Physical Therapy Center. In this role youll play a vital role in assisting the physical therapist and physical therapist assistant in providing quality care to our patients. Youll be responsible for preparing treatment areas and equipment assisting patients during therapy sessions maintaining the clinics orderliness and providing backup support to office staff when needed.
Performance Responsibilities:
Obtain equipment materials and supplies and position them appropriately for use.
Prepare hot packs and whirlpools for therapy sessions.
Assist therapists in supporting patients during transfers and ambulation.
Observe patients during treatment and notify therapists of any distress.
Perform routine modality treatments as approved by therapists.
Comply with safety infection control and universal precautions policies.
Maintain proficiency in clerical duties and assist office staff as necessary.
Minimum Requirements:
High school graduate.
Ability to read and write English.
Previous onthejob training preferred.
Knowledge of physical therapy procedures preferred by not required.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Requires full range of body motion and ability to manage patients with or without assistance.
Works in environmentally controlled areas and may be exposed to various hazards common to a physical therapy practice.
May occasionally drive a personal vehicle during working hours.
